Your new health grill will not only make your food a lot healthier, but it will reduce cooking times considerably. This page will cover approximately how long you should grill your meat for in order to avoid over cooking it.
Boneless Steak – When cooking steak on the health grill, it should be about 1-2cm thick. To grill the steak to medium you should allow 6-9 minutes. Adjust either way for rare or well done.
Chicken Breasts – Chicken breasts will take about 5 to 6 minutes to grill properly. Alternatively you can pound the meat and reduce the cooking times by a minute or so.
Fish Fillets – Fish fillets should be cooked until they flake easily when you test them with a fork. It should take about 2-3 minutes for each 1cm thickness of the fillet.
Fish Steaks – The fish steaks should be about 1-2cm thick. Grill steaks for 2 – 3 minutes per 1cm thickness.
Burgers – Quarter pounder burgers will take approximately 5-8 minutes. Smaller burgers will take 4-6 minutes.
Lamb & Pork Chops – Both Lamb and Pork chops should take 6 – 8 minutes to grill.
Shrimps – Shrimps should take 3 or 4 minutes on a health grill, until they turn pink and springy to touch.
All times are estimates of how long the listed items should take to cook from fresh on a health grill cooking from the top and bottom, you should make sure that all food is properly cooked before eating. How long the food will take to cook properly is largely dependent on the thickness of the food.
